Don't take our word for it...

"This program was a fun way to reinforce skills we learn in AHA classes, which can be stressful. I feel more units could benefit from this program. It makes our floor feel very ready at all times. It was very helpful to me because I am only BLS-certified. It made me more confident in my ability to jump in if needed."

Medical Surgical RN

"Before CodePRep, I was really scared to be in an actual code. Now, after practicing, I feel better and think I should be fine."

Medical Surgical RN

"Amazing program, especially for new nurses who have never participated in a code before. It made me feel more comfortable and more prepared. I think having these drills at least once a month will keep us all prepared when the time comes."

Medical Surgical RN

"I found this to be very helpful. It lets you know your problem areas (not deep enough/too deep not fast enough/too fast) & it helped improve communication. I don't know about anyone else, but it was very helpful to me b/c I’m only BLS (I’m the rehab tech that did it the first day - 100’s all the way across - woop woop! -it made me more confident in the ability to jump in if the need arises."

Meet The Founder
Dr. Susan B. Davis

My very first patient on my very first day as a nurse was a tiny elderly woman in cardiac arrest. It was my first day, my first time performing chest compressions (yes, the ribs broke), and I still vividly remember the blend of anxiety, excitement, and fear of knowing what to do.

Responding to codes in the inpatient environment, I saw firsthand the physiological reality of fight, flight, and freeze reactions. I knew there had to be a better way.

This experience fueled my passion to improve our training for these critical moments. Despite my background and training, the reality of a live code was overwhelming, and I saw how it affected others, too. It wasn’t just about knowing the steps but about feeling confident and prepared to act without hesitation.

Let's be honest – most codes can often feel chaotic and unorganized. We all know we need more practice, regardless of where we work. CodePRep changes that, bringing structure, consistency, and confidence to every resuscitation scenario. It works, period.

With my background and experience —training over 50,000 healthcare professionals in Basic, Advanced, and Pediatric resuscitation response, chairing a System Code Blue Council, and running a large instructor-led American Heart Association (AHA) program for nearly a decade—It sunk in that our traditional training methods were falling short. CodePRep™was created to address the gaps in traditional training methods.

CodePRep™ addresses the lack of practical training in resuscitation by offering standardized mock code scenarios, equipping healthcare professionals with the confidence and skills to act effectively in real emergencies.
